Following the official announcement of the cancellation of this year's New York Urban League Classic, Morgan State Athletics has announced that their game against Howard will be played at Hughes Stadium on September 24 at 7:00 p.m.
The MEAC season opener for the Bears will mark the first time in seven years that Morgan State has hosted Howard on campus. Last year the Bears and Bison met in the 18th Annual Chicago Football Classic at Soldier Field. Prior to that, the two teams met in the 42nd Annual Urban League Classic in East Rutherford, N.J. in 2014.
Games from 2010 through 2013 alternated between New Jersey and Howard's Greene Stadium in Washington, D.C.
The Bears lead the series against Howard with an overall record of 40-33-3. Morgan State has won 9 of the last 11 meetings against the Bison since 2005, including a stretch of 7-straight from 2005 to 2011.
