Minnesota authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a black man in a Minneapolis suburb dead yesterday. Thirty-two-year-old Philando Castile was in a car with his girlfriend and her daughter when they were pulled over for a broken tail light. His girlfriend says he told officers he had a firearm and a conceal-and-carry permit. She says when he reached for his license, the officer shot him four times.
She live streamed the aftermath of the shooting while still in the car. Castile is seen bleeding to death in the driver's seat. Saint Anthony Interim Police Chief Jon Mangseth said the officer who shot Castile has been on the force for five years. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating.
