(Video) Craig Sager "Full Of Love And Full Of Fun"
Growing up in Atlanta the home of the Turner brand of networks I have had the opportunity to follow the career of TNT/NBA reporter Craig Sager and I must admit he is one of the best sideline reporters in any sport.
Long before he became infamous for those crazy suits he wears he was already a household name if you followed the Atlanta Hawks under the old TBS Sports banner and I'm sure if you're like me you've followed his battle with leukemia.
It was always my hope that he would make a full recovery because in my opinion he has been one of the good guys in sports but in April he announced his cancer was no longer in remission and so it was only right that Sager was the winner of the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at last night's ESPY awards. The honor is given to a sports figure that has overcome obstacles through perseverance and determination. No one understands what this award means like Sager who missed 11 months of action while undergoing treatment and since the cancer resurfaced he's continued to work while battling the life threatening disease. Vice President Joe Biden presented the award to Sager, who vowed that he will continue to live his life "full of love and full of fun, it's the only way I know how."
