NBA To Relocate All Star Weekend From Charlotte
Well it appears that Adam Silver is a man of his word...
Silver stated earlier this year that if North Carolina's House Bill 2 was enacted the NBA would possibly move the NBA All Star Weekend festivities away from the city of Charlotte and today "The Commish" kept his word.
It was announced today that the 2017 All Star Game is moving to another location in objection to HB2 that limits anti-discrimination protections for lesbian, gay and transgender people.
The league hopes to announce a new location for the ASG soon, according to "The Vertical" the league is focused on possibly moving All Star Weekend to New Orleans but could return to Charlotte as soon as 2019.
