Junior & Piazza Head Into Hall Of Fame
(Cooperstown, NY) -- Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza will be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame tomorrow. Griffey received 99.3-percent of the vote, while Piazza got 83-percent of the required 75 for election. "Junior" spent 13 of his 22 big league seasons in a Seattle Mariners uniform. He was a 13-time All-Star, 10-time Gold Glove winner and the 1997 American League MVP. Griffey ranks sixth on the all-time list with 630 career home runs. He also played for the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox.
Piazza was a 12-time All-Star with the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets. He was the 1993 National League Rookie of the Year with LA and hit 427 career home runs. Piazza also played for the Florida Marlins, San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics.
