Brazile Named Interim DNC Chair Following WikiLeak Scandal

Debbie Wasserman Schultz says she will resign as chair of the Democratic National Committee at the end of this week's party convention.

Wasserman Schultz issued a statement today saying she will still open and close each day of the convention in Philadelphia. The Florida congresswoman has come under fire after hacked emails emerged that raised questions about the party's impartiality in the Democratic primaries. Wasserman Schultz said in the statement she remains committed to seeing that Hillary Clinton is elected president.

DNC Vice Chair Donna Brazile was named to replace Wasserman Schultz on an interim basis through November's election.
