Crawford Dominates, Wins Via Unanimous Decision
There's an old saying when it comes to boxing, "styles make fights."
Last night's fight between Terrance Crawford and Viktor Postol was no exception to the rule. With both fighters coming into the fight with records of 28-0 on paper this bout looked to be a candidate for fight of the year, not so much.
In front of a crowd of about 7,000 at the MGM Grand Garden, Crawford dominated Saturday night's fight on the way to a 12 round unanimous decision and he's now positioned to fight the recently unretired Manny Pacquiao in November at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Postol came into the fight with a significant height and reach advantage but again "styles make fights." The Ukrainian was knocked down twice in the 5th and never really had a chance after that as Crawford put on an exhibition proving that he could possibly be the "next big thing" in boxing.
If Crawford lands the opportunity of fighting an aging Manny Pacquiao it would be a game changing fight for him; boxing is always looking for their next "it guy" and Bud Crawford could be it.
