Adonis Stevenson knocked out Thomas Williams Jr. in the fourth round Friday night to successfully defend his WBC light heavyweight title.
Stevenson is now 28-1 after finishing off Williams with a left at 2:54 of the fourth round for his 23rd career knockout.
The 38-year-old champion also sent Williams to the mat in the first round, but Williams got up at the count of eight.
"He wanted to put on some pressure, so I put some on as well," Stevenson said. "Two men who know how to fight. We gave a good show and that's what people want to see."
