Rob Speaks: Why Is Roy Jones Still Fighting?

There once lived a boxer that dubbed himself "The Pound for Pound Baddest Man On The Planet." That boxer has long since lost that title but continues to fight and ruining what should've been one of boxing greatest legacies.

Roy Jones, Jr. is now 47 years old and a total shell of his former self.

On August 13th Jones the former middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight champion will once again step in the ring versus journeyman Rodney Moore at the Pensacola Bay Center.

His last meaningful fight came over six years in April of 2010 a 12 round unanimous decision loss to Bernard Hopkins and in the eleven fights since Hopkins, Jones has faced bar room fighters, backyard brawlers, and a former MMA fighter.

Not to mention all of those eleven fights have happened in cities not named Las Vegas including that one time he fought here in Atlanta at the now closed Atlanta Civic Center live on internet PPV for $13 bucks.

The only question now is will Jones (63-9, 46 KOs) who also works as a boxing analyst for HBO finally call it quits following his August 13th bout.
