Coach K. And Team USA Ready For Olympic Action
The U.S. men's basketball team will be seeking its third straight Olympic gold medal in Rio.
The 12-man roster features six players who are Olympic and/or FIBA World Cup gold medalists. This year's team is highlighted by Anthony, Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving, Kings center DeMarcus Cousins and the Warriors' trio of Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Duke's Mike Krzyzewski returns for his third and final Olympic Games as head coach.
Team USA has 14 gold, one silver and two bronze medals in men's basketball all-time, posting a 130-and-5 record.
Team USA is in Group A with Australia, China, France, Serbia and Venezuela.
The Americans open round-robin play Saturday against China at 6 p.m. Eastern.
