Jordan Makes Huge Contribution To The Smithsonian

His time with the Wizards might be something he'd rather forget, but Michael Jordan is making sure his legacy will be remembered in Washington, DC.

The Smithsonian has announced that Jordan has donated five-million-dollars to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Jordan is also giving the museum's Sports Gallery his jersey from the 1996 NBA Finals. It'll be displayed in the special section of the Game Changers gallery.

Museum officials say Jordan's gifts will enable visitors to explore how sports were used to break barriers.
