Phelps Continues Dominate 2016 Performance
Michael Phelps became the first swimmer, male or female, to win the same event in four straight Olympics when he cruised to gold in the 200-meter individual medley.
While Phelps captured his fourth gold medal of these Olympics and 22nd overall, teammate Ryan Lochte didn't make it to the podium after taking two silvers and a bronze behind Phelps at the last three Olympics.
Phelps has an opportunity to add a victory in the 100 butterfly Friday.
