Olympic Swimmers Robbed At Gun Point

Ryan Lochte and three other American swimmers were robbed at gunpoint when the taxi they were riding in was pulled over by thieves posing as police officers. The robbers made them get out of the cab and put a gun to Lochte's head before taking his wallet. Lochte was with Gunnar Bentz and teammates Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen from the gold medal-winning 4-by-200-meter freestyle relay. No one was hurt. The IOC originally refuted the initial reports that the swimmers had been robbed before apologizing and acknowledging that the robbery did take place.
