Donald Trump says he wants the votes of all African-Americans, despite his dismal performance with the group in early opinion surveys.
The GOP nominee is arguing at a rally in Wisconsin that his rival, Hillary Clinton, and other Democrats pander to communities of color.
Trump says "we reject the bigotry" of the Clinton campaign, which he says talks down to minority groups and only sees African-Americans as votes. Clinton is much more popular among black voters than Trump, who has alienated many voters with his divisive rhetoric.
Trump is speaking with the assistance of teleprompters — rare props at his usually free-wheeling, off-the-cuff rallies.
