Meet Nike's Newest Face... 86 Year Old "Iron Nun"
One of the newest faces of Nike is an 86-year-old nun.
Sister Madonna Buder has run in 45 Ironman triathlons and is the star of Nike's "Unlimited Youth" ad. The ad shows Buder in church, as well as running, swimming and biking on mountainous terrain. The "Iron Nun" says she did not begin running until she was around 47-years-old. She says there was a point where she did not want to see a pair of running shoes but now calls triathlon "the salvation." Buder is the oldest woman to ever compete in the Ironman triathlon.
She holds the record for best finishing time in the 80-84 age group
