Could Kobe Become The Next Magic Johnson?

We've witnessed Magic Johnson's rise from NBA great to business tycoon and now retired NBA superstar Kobe Bryant is trying his hand at Wall Street.

The longtime Los Angeles Lakers star is forming a 100-million-dollar venture capital fund that will invest in media, technology and data companies. The fund will be co-managed by investor Jeff Stibel and be known as Bryant Stibel. The firm was founded in 2013, but is just now going public with the retirement of Bryant after last season. Forbes estimates Kobe collected around 680-million-dollars during his 18-year playing career.

The five-time NBA champion created a company in 2014 called Kobe Inc. to help handle his image.
