Harrison Apologizes For Saying "Kaepernick Not Black"

There is absolutely no reason for anyone in the broadcast industry should open their mouth or post to social media with an opinion without fact checking first...

NBC Sports analyst Rodney Harrison is apologizing and slowing trying to remove his foot from his mouth after saying San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is not black and doesn't truly understand racism.

Harrison posted on Twitter that he never intended to offend anyone, but was just trying to speak about his experiences as a African American. The former NFL player had criticized Kaepernick for his refusal to stand for the National Anthem. Harrison said Kaepernick can't understand what he and other people of color face every day. Kaepernick is of mixed race, with a biological white mother and black father, but was adopted and raised by white parents.

NBC Sports tells TMZ that Harrison will not be disciplined and is expected to work the "Football Night in America" opener on September 11th.
