Bucks president Peter Feigin calls Milwaukee the "most segregated, racist place" he's ever experienced in his life. The "Wisconsin State Journal" reports Feigin made those comments while speaking at a local Rotary Club, adding that the team's new arena being built will help repair the city.
The Bucks are receiving 250-million-dollars in taxpayer money to finance the arena, which is scheduled to open in 2018. Feigin cited hiring Milwaukee-based construction contractors to build the venue and agreeing to pay wages of at least 12-dollars per hour when the arena opens for business.
Racial tensions have been heightened the last few months, after a black man was shot and killed by a police officer during a traffic stop earlier this year.
