McGregor Fined $150k By Nevada Athletic Commission
Conor McGregor's profanity-filled, bottle-throwing fracas with rival Nate Diaz during a pre-fight news conference in August has resulted in a $150,000 fine for the UFC star by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
That dollar amount represents 5 percent of the $3 million McGregor was paid for his win over Diaz in the main event of UFC 202. McGregor also was ordered to perform 50 hours of community service.
Diaz has yet to be disciplined for the incident, which erupted after McGregor arrived late and the two exchanged words.
