San Francisco Superior Court Elects First African-American Female Judge
The San Francisco Superior Court Bench has its first woman African-American presiding judge.
Judge Teri L. Jackson ran unopposed for the two-year term. Jackson said in a statement that she and the other Superior Court judges "share a commitment to assure that all San Franciscans are served justly and fairly" in the justice system.
Jackson's term will begin January 1st.
