Donkey Kong Headlines Video Game HOF

The Video Game Hall of Fame has four new members. Donkey Kong, Pokemon Red and Green, Halo: Combat Evolved, and Street Fighter 2 were inducted into the hall today at the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester. The four were chosen from a field of 12 nominees announced in March.
Thousands of nominations from people around the world were considered. Winning games were chosen based on their popularity over a period of time and their influence on the game industry and popular culture. Games that were nominated but didn't make it this time around include Wii Sports, Tomb Raider and Microsoft Windows Solitaire.
