4 Years Later C's Still Reaping Benefits Of Trade

Since moving to Brooklyn what have the Nets done?

Well let's see in an effort to create an instant playoff team the Nets led by playboy billionaire owner Mikhail Prokhorov made a HUGE trade that years later looks like one of the worst deals in all of professional sports.

The Nets acquired Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jason Terry and D.J. White from the Boston Celtics in exchange for Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks, Kris Joseph, Keith Bogans and three first round draft picks (2014, 2016 and 2018), as well as the right to swap first round picks in 2017.

Now here we are in 2017 the Nets suck, both Pierce and Garnett are retired, & instead of celebrating the #1 overall pick in the upcoming draft, which happens to be in Brooklyn this year the Nets find themselves not only at the bottom of NBA but also at the bottom of the draft order.

Boston fans were devastated upon hearing the news that two of cornerstones were headed to the Big Apple, but remember hindsight is always 20/20. Nearly 4 year later the Celtics find themselves right where they need to be, the Eastern Conference Finals and owner of the #1 overall pick in this year's draft.

In case you haven't heard the Boston Celtics will have the number-one pick in next month's NBA Draft. The Celtics won the NBA Draft Lottery, which establishes the draft order for the top 14 selections.

The Los Angeles Lakers will pick second, followed by the Philadelphia 76ers.

The NBA Draft takes place Thursday, June 22nd in Brooklyn, New York.
