Ohio Morgue Runs Out Of Space Thanks To Opioids...
The morgue in Montgomery County, Ohio is full and the county coroner says he's not sure what to do. Most of the deaths are attributed to opioid overdoses.
Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger tells the Dayton "Trib Live" he's already expanded his cooler once, because space for 36 bodies wasn't enough. It now holds 42 bodies. And Harshbarger says the cooler is "full every night." When the morgue cooler has no more room, then bodies are sent to a funeral home or placed in a rented refrigerated trailer until an autopsy is performed.
Harshbarger says he's looking at 29-hundred autopsies this year with two-thousand of them drug overdose deaths.
