Mayweather vs McGregor Bout Set For Aug. 26 In Vegas
The long rumored bout pitting boxing champion Floyd Mayweather against mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor is now a reality.
The 40-year-old Mayweather is ending a 23-month retirement to face McGregor in a boxing match on Aug. 26. Specific terms of the bout were not revealed, such as number of rounds, weight class or location.
Mayweather hasn't fought since beating Andre Berto in September 2015, and the 28-year-old McGregor has been idle since besting Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in November.
Mayweather has never lost in 49 fights and is listed as an 11-to-1 favorite.
