NFL Protests Continue... VP Pence Walks Out!

The NFL Players Association is standing behind players' right to protest the national anthem. The players' union released a statement in support of its members after Vice President Mike Pence walked out of the Colts-49ers game in Indianapolis Sunday after several San Francisco players knelt during the anthem. The statement says conversations about difficult issues shouldn't be stifled. The union says it's a source of pride for them that discussions about those issues have played out in locker rooms across the league. Pence tweeted the reason for his leaving was to "not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem." President Trump later took credit for Pence's move, saying he asked the Vice President to leave if any player knelt during the anthem.
