VSU Trojans' Season Ends With 35-9 First Round Loss


Ettrick, VA-The Virginia State University football team kicked off the NCAA Super Two Region First Round Football Playoffs by hosting the University of West Georgia Wolves. The contest ruled in favor of the Wolves, 35-9. The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Conference champions, the Virginia State University Trojans, complete the 2017 campaign 10-1 overall, setting a new school record of finishing the regular season undefeated. University of West Georgia improves to 9-3 overall with the victory. The Wolves will face Gulf South Conference rival the University of West Florida in the NCAA second round Saturday, Nov. 25.
