Michigan's John Conyers Steps Aside...
Embattled Congressman John Conyers announced yesterday that he is stepping aside as the ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee.
The Michigan Democrat issued a statement saying, "After careful consideration and in light of the attention drawn by recent allegations made against me, I have notified the Democratic Leader of my request to step aside."
Recent harassment allegations made against the veteran lawmaker prompted Conyers to deny it.
He also maintains he will not leave office.
