Tavis Smiley: "This Has Gone Too Far"
Say it ain't so... As the sexual harassment carousel continues the latest victim is none other than Tavis Smiley.
PBS is suspending distribution of Tavis Smiley's late-night talk show amid sexual misconduct allegations. Smiley took to Facebook late Wednesday to defend himself. He said in the video that he plans to fight back against the allegations. A PBS spokeswoman called the multiple accusations "credible." The network has hired an outside law firm to investigate Smiley's behavior. "Variety" reports Smiley is accused of having sex with multiple subordinates, making some feel like they had to in order to keep their jobs.
Several reportedly were concerned about retaliation.
