Aretha Franklin: Mourning The Loss Of A Legend.
People all over the United States are mourning the loss of Aretha Franklin.
The 76-year-old Queen of Soul passed away at her home in Detroit yesterday after battling cancer. Fans gathered outside Detroit's New Bethel Baptist Church, where her father was a pastor.
Flowers and memorabilia were placed on Franklin's Walk of Fame star after the news of her death broke.
There was a crowd in front of Harlem, New York's Apollo Theater, which says it is working on a tribute to her. President Trump and Barack and Michelle Obama also gave their condolences, while Paul McCartney, Elton John other artists expressed their adoration on social media. Franklin's family is reportedly planning to hold a public memorial service at a Detroit museum.
