Kaepernick Wins First Phase Of Collusion Case Against NFL
Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick's collusion case against the NFL can proceed.
An arbitrator denied a request by the NFL to dismiss Kaepernick's complaint that NFL teams conspired to keep him out of professional football. Kaepernick started the movement of kneeling during the National Anthem to bring attention to social justice issues.
The now 30-year-old became a free agent in 2017 and has not been signed by a new NFL team. The league had asked for a summary judgment that there was not enough evidence to back up the claim.
