Federal Judge Throws Out WWE Lawsuit Brought On By Former Wrestlers

A lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment over concussions is being thrown out by a Connecticut federal judge.

About 60 former professional wrestlers filed the suit claiming the WWE failed to protect them from repeated head trauma causing permanent damage. The judge ruled Monday, claims were frivolous or filed too late, after the statute of limitations expired.

One of the plaintiffs was legendary wrestler Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka who died last year and reportedly showed signs of brain damage. The attorney representing the wrestlers says he plans to appeal the decision.
