Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds wants people to know she didn't ask the state's Health and Human Services to resign because of his love for Tupac Shakur. Jerry Foxhoven was known for his obsession with the late rapper, holding Tupac Fridays in the office and constantly quoting Tupac. He was asked to resign the day after sending out an email with a Tupac quote to more than four-thousand employees.
The 66 year old Foxhoven told the media he hoped Tupac didn't get him fired and late last week a spokesman for the Republican governor confirmed that that wasn't the case. The spokesman told the Des Moines Register that the governor wanted to take the department in a new direction and that there were several non-Tupac reasons for letting Foxhoven go.
