Rep. Espaillat Continues Calls For A$AP Rocky's Release
Lawmakers continue to push for A$AP Rocky's freedom. The rapper has been locked up in a Swedish jail all month in connection with a fight. Democratic Congressman Adriano Espaillat of A$AP's home district of Harlem was asked about the situation Sunday when TMZ caught up with him.
He noted that President Trump had taken up the issue, vowing the other day to guarantee A$AP's bail and assuring the Swedish prime minister that he wasn't a flight risk. However, he also pointed to the fact that Sweden lacks a bail system and questioned whether the president was being genuine in his gestures. One way or the other, Espaillat said it's all good as long as the end result is the rapper being released.
