Black Caucus Threatening To Push Back Marijuana Sales In Chicago


The Chicago City Council's Black Caucus is threatening to push back the sale of recreational marijuana in the city.

Caucus chairman Alderman Jason Ervin is planning to introduce an ordinance today that would prevent legal marijuana sales until July 1st, 2020.

The caucus is expressing concerns that no people of color will be among the owners of the businesses allowed to sell weed when it's legalized January 1st.
