Now Hiring: The Chicken Wars Continue!
Popeyes is hiring, and they're making sure Chick-Fil-A knows. Running a classified ad in a number of papers, including the New York Times, New York Post, Boston Globe, and Miami Herald, the company is seeking applicants who can work Sundays and who have experience preparing chicken sandwiches.
Chick-fil-A is famously closed Sundays. Popeyes introduced a chicken sandwich to its national menu in August, and promptly started trading barbs on social media with Chick-fil-A, starting the "chicken sandwich wars," spurring nationwide taste tests, long lines and sell outs.
