(Video) Former President Obama Gives Commencement Speech To HBCU Grads

Former President Barack Obama is back in the spotlight after taking a rare public swipe at President Trump tonight.

While giving the commencement speech for the 2020 graduates of historically black colleges and universities, the former president said that a lot of the current leaders "aren't even pretending to be in charge." Obama noted that graduating in the middle of what he called a "devastating pandemic and terrible recession" is not ideal.

He touched on many injustices that the African American community has to go through, giving examples of the way COVID-19 has "disproportionately" affected minorities.
