Lil Wayne Facing Up To 10 Years On Gun Charges

Lil Wayne is facing prison time. On Tuesday, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida charged Weezy with one count of possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

If convicted, the "Funeral" rapper could face up to ten years in prison. The charge is for an incident on December 23, 2019 when federal agents searched Wayne's plane at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. Wayne's attorney, Howard Srebnick, said he had a gold-plated handgun in his luggage on a private plane but never brandished it or threatened to use it.
