The New York Police Department is opening an investigation into Russell Simmons for alleged sexual assault. A police sergeant told "The Hollywood Reporter" the department is in the process of reviewing information about claims that reportedly occurred in the New York City area. Simmons has been accused by multiple women of harassment, assault and rape that allegedly took place over the last 30 years.
